These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the plasman.co.uk website and every order placed with plasman.co.uk; by proceeding to place an order you are accepting these Terms and Conditions applied to the contract.
We’re passionate about our customers and making sure that you’re happy and so the following sets out the terms and conditions that apply to your order in what we hope is a straight-forward and customer friendly way.
Our Contract with You
When you place an order, you are offering to buy the product(s) from us and we will send you an order acknowledgement. However, your offer shall only be accepted by us once we place the product you have ordered onto the delivery van and only then shall a legally binding contract be formed between us. Until then we can decline to supply the goods – we will try to ensure that this never happens but we do however, reserve the right not to fulfil your order for any reason if, for example, we have made an error on the price or similar or we simply can’t get hold of the product you need.
On completion of placing your order online you will receive an email acknowledgement sent to the email address you have provided when you placed your order. If goods are ordered over a weekend, bank holiday or after 3pm on a working day the order date is taken as being the next working day.
We try to specify accurate dimensions for every product listed on plasman.co.uk. Whilst we try to be as accurate as possible, all sizes, weights and measurements quoted on the website are subject to manufacturers tolerances. Any nominal variation does not constitute a fault for the purposes of cancellation. Similarly, we’ve made every effort to display all product colours accurately. However we can’t guarantee that the image displayed on your monitor will accurately reflect the true colour of the product delivered to you. Please also be aware that colours may differ between manufacturers. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that product specifications are correct on the website, due to continual product development through research & design, specifications may change without notice.
All the prices we display are exclusive of VAT and include delivery to business addresses only. You can get further information on our delivery costs to consumer locations by contacting 0161 224 0333. From time to time we may offer products at sale or promotional prices. Any such offers will apply to selected products and be subject to availability. Delivery charges, conditions and geographical exclusions may apply. Please refer to individual product pages for pricing.
Payment will be via your usual method as agreed when your account was opened with Plasman Laminate Products Ltd. If you have a Proforma account with us, we will contact you via email or telephone to confirm the total price of your order and to arrange full payment prior to delivery.
From time to time we’ll offer discount codes on selected products. Discount codes will be available for a limited time with eligible dates clearly visible. They’re also subject to availability and can be
withdrawn at any time. Discount codes can only be redeemed on plasman.co.uk and you can only use one discount code per order.
Business Deliveries – deliveries to our normal distribution regions are free of charge
Please ensure you have staff ready to receive your delivery on the allocated day; or inform us of changes to your circumstances prior to delivery. The consequences of not being able to offload bulk components can severely impair our schedule often incurring cost and damage. We require one person to be available to assist in the unloading of goods and in the case of Mistral and M-Stone, two people are required due to the additional weight.
Consumer and Site Deliveries – Plasman specialise in deliveries to consumer and site locations on behalf of our trade clients – these deliveries are chargeable (please contact us)
Please ensure the location is accessible for a large vehicle and an able bodied person is available to assist in unloading on the allotted delivery day.
Plasman operates its own fleet of specialist vehicles and drivers for maximum quality of service. We discourage the use of external carriers for bulky kitchen components and flooring which can often result in damages or delivery failure. Should Plasman make an error in delivery, we endeavour to redeliver on the next allocated delivery day to your area, using our own specialist transport.
Occasionally something will happen out of our control that closes roads, like floods, snow or other adverse weather conditions or things like, sporting events which result in closed roads. We will do what we can, but can’t be held liable if we can’t fulfil delivery due to reasons beyond our control.
We will endeavour to keep you informed of any changes to your proposed delivery as soon as possible.
Damages and Shortages
Please check goods within 48 hours of delivery to ensure there are no defects or damages. Returns cannot be made after this period of time.
If you’re not happy with your product or simply change your mind you can return it within 14 days of delivery and receive a credit. If you cancel your order, you will be responsible for returning the goods to us in good condition. We reserve the right not to accept any goods where the packaging is damaged or defaced and therefore unsuitable for resale. Please note that any items that you wish to return that are not faulty will incur a 20% re-stocking fee. It is your responsibility to ensure that all items are received by us in a brand new, unopened, undamaged, re-sellable condition. To cancel a product and request collection please call 0161 224 0333. We’ll collect your product within a reasonable time from when you cancel and on a day that suits both parties.
If Products are Faulty
This applies to goods which develop a fault after installation.
All of our supplied products come with a minimum 12 month manufacturer’s guarantee.
To help Plasman Laminate Products Ltd deal with any complaint efficiently and quickly, we will require the following information:
- The retailer must first inspect the complaint and determine if the complaint is of a manufacturing nature.
- If you determine that the fault is of a manufacturing nature, fill in the appropriate complaint form in full and send in along with a photograph showing the problem. Photographs should detail the ‘fault’ as well as the general kitchen layout.
- Should you be claiming any re-installation costs, please provide them with the completed form on letter headed paper for the manufacturer to consider.
- Once we are in possession of the completed form and photo’s, we will take the appropriate action on your behalf with the manufacturer and keep you fully informed of any progress until completion.
- Plasman Laminate Products will only discuss a complaint with the retailer and not with the consumer.
- We will only make contact with the consumer if an onsite appointment is required for inspection and we would request that a representative from the retailer be in attendance
- Plasman Laminate Products Ltd are happy to advise on accidental damage, misuse or poor installation issues but deem a site visit unnecessary as these are not faults of a manufacturing nature and should be dealt with between you the retailer, installer or consumer
Things Beyond Our Control
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these terms that is caused by events outside our reasonable control. Such events include any act, non-occurrence, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes, in particular (without limitation), the following:
Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action; or civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war; or
fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster or adverse weather; or impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport; or impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks
Our obligations under these terms are suspended for the period that such event continues and we will have an extension of time to perform these obligations for the duration of that period. We will take reasonable steps to bring the event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under these terms can be performed despite the event.
Extent of Liability
Here at Plasman, we strive to deliver a great service to every customer and we make every effort to ensure that the goods advertised for sale on our website are described accurately. However the descriptions of goods on the website do not form part of the contract between you the customer and us the supplier. They are designed to represent a general idea of the goods. You should always ensure that the goods which you are purchasing from us are suitable for your intended needs. We do not give any warranty that the goods which you purchase from us, are or will be suitable for your intended needs.
We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage which you may suffer as a result of any breach of contract by us, including, but not limited to, consequential loss to you and/or loss or damage to the property of third parties. In any event our liability to you arising directly from our negligence will not exceed the invoiced value of the goods. Nothing in this clause will limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence. This clause does not affect your statutory rights.
We make every effort to ensure our website is free from viruses or defects. However we cannot guarantee that your use of this website or any website accessible through it will not cause damage or disruption to your computer. It is your responsibility to provide adequate protection for your equipment which you use to access our website. We will not be liable to you or to anyone else for any loss or damage which may be caused to any equipment arising as a result of your use of this website.
Any customer reviews of the products we sell are the opinions of our customers and do not form part of the specification or description of the product. We shall not be liable if any of the information contained in a customer review proves inaccurate.
